Solar Power

Solar panels installed above The Art Gallery

Thanks to the support of our local Sydney Energy Co-op (SEC) and its affiliate, Greenforce Energy, The Addison Road Community Centre recently received a FREE Solar Power installation generating 2 Kw of solar power.  Mr Thomas Baywater of SEC also generously provided us with associated materials and free installation.

The roof of The ARCC Gallery and office of the Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women’s Legal Centre was deemed the most appropriate location for the installation of the solar panels. The proposal for installation included 22 x 90 W solar panels, an inverter and installation, with all parts included.

According to Thomas Bywater, the system will supply ARCC with 2920 kWh of solar energy each year, which equates to an annual energy saving of $554.00.
