Sunflowers Planting Photos
A symbolic planting of 40 Sunflower seedlings (Sunflowers have been used to remove toxins from the soil) commemorated the arrival of 19 residents’ rights activists from Kuantan, Malaysia. They are here to protest against Australian corporation Lynas which is building a toxic rare earths refinery near their homes. Please join them at a protest outside Lynas shareholders’ AGM on Tuesday Nov 20 at the Sofitel Westworth Hotel, 61-101 Phillips St, Sydney. You can also attend a forum hosted by Greens MP for Balmain at the NSW Parliament at 7pm on Tuesday. Thanks to Addison Road Community Centre for hosting the Malaysian guests and their supporters.
